Sfeiha, which literally translates to “meat on dough” is a classic Lebanese dish, also known. Sfeiha has such a distinct smell that fans of Lebanese food easily recognize.

What is Lahm Sfeiha:

It is the Lebanese pizza, but this where the similarity ends. Instead of layering the ingredients, the ground beef, tomatoes, onions, fresh lemon and Lebanese spices are mixed together. Then placed on dough and baked to perfection.

It is a delicious soft pie with a crispy edge and a flavorful layer of meat. It is usually served hot with yogurt or fresh lemon juice.

The Dough:

A soft crust so delicious and melts in your mouth. A gentle sweetness and sponginess like no other. Once you have had one bite you’ll be hooked. My family still use the same recipe since 1962.

Serve as a meal, appetizer, or a delicious snack. Best of all, they’re incredibly freezer friendly and reheat well. Warm the Sfeiha at 360℉ for 2 minutes. It is ready to eat when the aroma is calling your name.
