Lahm Bi Ajeen, which literally translates to “meat on dough” is a classic Armenian dish, also known as Lahm Baajine.  The appetizing aroma alone with have your mouth watering.

What is Lahm Bi Ajeen:

This traditional Armenian recipe tends to be a little bit spicier than the Lebanese version. It is made with the perfect mixture of ground beef, tomatoes, onions, Armenian red chili pepper and spices spread on soft dough, and baked to perfection. A feast that is enjoyed at any meal!

It is usually served hot with yogurt or fresh lemon juice. The Armenian version is often served with a side of roasted eggplants too.

The Dough:

A very thin crust without yeast, so delicious it melts in your mouth. A delicious blend of flavors like no other. Once you have one bite, you’ll be hooked. My family still use the same recipe since 1962.

When to eat:

Serve as a meal, appetizer, or a delicious snack. Best of all, they’re incredibly freezer friendly and reheat well. Warm the Lahm Bi Ajeen at 350℉ for 2 minutes. It is ready to eat when the aroma is calling your name.

Organic flour, salt, yeast, tomatoes, onions, garlic, organic beef, coriander, 7 spices, black pepper, cumin, paprika, lemon juice, tomato paste, red chili pepper paste, parsely.
